BFL Lake of the Ozarks
Just got back from the BFL on Lake of the Ozarks. I drew out a local guy who was flipping boat docks with a jig. We concentrated on shallow boat docks in the backs of creeks on channel banks and also in the pockets. We spent 95 percent of the day behind the cables fishing in dirty water. Most of the docks we fished were around bigger rock and my boater had to take the boat in between the docks and back straight out all day. It was one of those days were you are more of a spec
Getting Fit
One thing that a lot of people struggle with is getting into shape. Over my life of being in and out of the gym the key to getting in shape really comes down to having a good routine and also having the right mindset. It's easy to fall into bad habits when it comes to putting off working out and eating right. Believe me I know that the last couple of years I got complacent with my training routine as well as my diet. You only get one life to live but at the same time fitness

Moving to the Front
So many of you have followed my fishing the last year and a half. I've learned a lot fishing as a coangler. Mostly I have learned what not to do to win a tournament. Over all the BFL tournaments I fished the last year and a half I've gotten a pretty good feel for what its going to take to be successful in the sport of competitive bass fishing at the next level. I've been fishing all my life but most of the people around me know that it wasn't really until the last year or so

Stockton Lake Experience
Stockton lake was a tough BFL for me. Ended up having a decent boater but the fish didn't cooperate as much for us. I was able to catch a couple of keepers to get some points on a J-Town Tackle 1/4 oz Shakyhead worm fishing the old bank line. What sucked was I caught a fish that was just shy of 15 inches up in the bushes on the shakeyhead as well. The predominant pattern was flipping bushes and most of the time I feel like on a smaller lake like Stockton that you could be fis

COSTA Series Santee Cooper
So the Costa Series on Santee Cooper was a brutal tournament for me. Learned a lot about what to do and not to do on a lake like Santee. The first day I fished with a local guy that lived on the lake. He had some success on the lake in the past and the first day I got to watch a guy catch 21lbs in 5 fish. He only got those 5 bites and I got 1 bite all day but the predominant pattern was fishing isolated trees on the mainlake. He started the day throwing a spinnerbait on windb
