The Off-Season
So now that the tournament season for me is over till spring one might ask what am I going to be doing to keep myself busy. There's a lot of things to get caught up on around here and to prepare for next year. The past year I fished a lot of tournaments and had some success but the time on the road took it's toll on my body. It's pretty tough when you are on the road and fishing to stick to your health and fitness goals when you got the competition on your mind. There's a lot

12th Place Finish out of 182 at FLW BFL Regional on Lake Chickamauga
Just got back from competing in my second Regional Championship this year on Lake Chickamauga. I didn't get time to head down before the tournament to practice so after a 7 and a half hour drive I finally got down to the lake the night before the tournament. The area surrounding Lake Chickamauga is really nice. We had the pre-tournament rules meeting at the local Rhea County High School. At the meeting I met up with my boater for day 1. He said that he had been down practicin

59th Place out of 160 Kentucky Lake FLW BFL Regional.
What a crappy weekend of fishing on Kentucky Lake. Most of the time when I have a tough tournament I will reflect for a couple of days on what I could of done differently. That's usually if everyone caught them except me. Those days are far and few between but it was a different story this weekend at Kentucky Lake. I don't think how I fished had anything to do with my performance. I out fished over a 100 anglers and I managed to only catch one 2.15lb fish in two days of fish

IT'S GO TIME
This upcoming weekend I'll be headed to Kentucky Lake to fish a FLW BFL Regional Championship. I qualified for the Kentucky Lake Championship by finishing in the top 40 in points after fishing 5 BFL qualifiers in the FLW BFL Ozark Division. I'm really looking forward to competing this week and I'll be looking for my first FLW win. Up to this point I've been really close to winning a couple of big tournaments with FLW. When I was in college I finished 2nd in the FLW College Fi

Check Cashed at the Big Bass Bash
Just got back from the Big Bass Bash at Lake of the Ozarks. I've been fishing the Big Bass Bash tournaments off and on the past couple of years when I've had time and its usually a fun event. There are a couple of tournaments every year that everyone should always fish because you have a shot to really win some big money and the bash is one of those tournaments. A lot of people take fishing the bash pretty seriously but in all honesty most of the time the tournament is won by
