My name is Spencer Clark and I am a professional fisherman and guide on Table Rock Lake and Lake Taneycomo. I am U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain and fully insured.

 I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and grew up fishing all of our Ozark Lakes as well as the Mississippi River!

I have been fishing my whole life and competitively for the last 15 years all across the country!  While in college I won 25K in the FLW College Fishing Regional Championship on Lake Monroe, Indiana.

 

I then qualified for the Major League Fishing College Fishing National Championship on Kentucky Lake where I finished 10th in the Nation out of over 50 college fishing teams. I was also named part of the Major League Fishing College Fishing All - American Team by FLW Outdoors which highlights only the best college fishermen in the nation.

 

My tournament partner and I won over 48K in three years during our college fishing careers in scholarship money. I graduated from Truman State University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. I spent a lot of years using my college degree working as a research associate in Crop Sciences. 

 

In 2019 I won the Major League Fishing BFL Regional Championship on Grand Lake, Oklahoma. It was really cool to be able to win a brand new fully rigged Ranger Bass Boat which was valued at over 50K dollars.  This regional win also qualified me to fish in the Major League Fishing All-American tournament in 2020 on Lake Hartwell in South Carolina. One of the most prestigious and toughest events to qualify for in the country. This tournament was also featured on National Television. From 2017 to 2020 I won over 70K in regional level tournaments on lakes all across the country.  

 

In 2020 I competed as a Pro in the Major League Fishing Ozark Division BFL tournaments and finished 5th overall in points out of over 200 anglers. This tournament trail has the best anglers in the Midwest and National Pro Circuit.  ​

 

In 2022 I took a step back from tournament fishing and started Breaking Bass Guide Service LLC because I wanted to utilize my skills  to help clients catch fish on Table Rock Lake and Lake Taneycomo which I am now able to call home! The last two years have been awesome and lots of memories have been made with some awesome clients.  I take a great deal of passion in my work and God has truly blessed me with the ability to be able to guide full time for a living! 

 

Fishing is my passion and as your guide I look forward to be able to use my experience and expertise from my many years of fishing to give you a memorable trip filled with tons of fish catching action. I want all my clients to walk away with the best fishing experience of their life!

 

I also work to provide my customers the opportunity to learn new techniques and tactics so that they can be successful on future tips. Along with my guided fishing trips I offer electronics training trips for customers that would like to better learn how to use their electronics day in and day out to find the best fishing spots and be more productive on their fishing trips!

 

​I love to teach kids how to fish because I can remember when I was a kid and some of those early fishing memories are so important. I was  that kid that wanted to learn everything and anything about fishing and I like to be able to give our up and coming fisherman the guidance and experience to become better fishermen!  As your guide I will provide all that is needed for an enjoyable trip on the water!
